Seydikemer District of Muğla, Turkey, Has Spread to the Kaş District of Antalya Due to Strong Winds in the Region

The fire broke out in a farm field near Korubükü village in Seydikemer and then jumped to forestland under the influence of heavy wind. Originating at a point close to Saklıkent Canyon, the blaze crossed a stream flowing from the canyon with the strong northerly wind and reached forested areas within Antalya's Kaş borders. Teams are continuing their aerial and ground interventions to bring the fire under control.

In a statement on the General Directorate of Forestry's social media account, it was reported: We are responding to the fire that started in a non-forest area in the Seydikemer district of Muğla and spread to the Kaş district of Antalya with 4 planes, 15 helicopters, 72 water tenders, 6 construction machines, and 450 personnel. 4 uçak, 15 helikopter, 72 arazöz, 6 iş makinesi, 450 personel ile Muğla'nın Seydikemer ilçesinde orman dışı alanda başlayan ve Antalya'nın Kaş ilçesine sıçrayan yangına müdahale ediyoruz. Yangını bir an evvel kontrol altına almak için mücadelemiz devam ediyor.
