High school preferences, which will be made according to the results of the central exam within the scope of the High School Transition System (LGS) of the Ministry of National Education (MEB), will end tomorrow at 17.00. Candidates make choices through the e-School system in three groups: "schools that accept students with central exam scores", "schools that accept students with local placement" and "hostel schools". A total of 198 thousand 899 students will be placed in schools that accept students through central examination. 60 thousand 886 quotas were allocated for Anatolian high schools, 38 thousand 700 quotas for science high schools, 9 thousand 210 quotas for social sciences high schools, 43 thousand 706 quotas for Anatolian religious high schools, and 46 thousand 397 quotas for vocational and technical Anatolian high schools.
Placement will be made in accordance with the preferences based on the superiority of the scores in the determined quotas of the schools that accept students through the central exam. In schools that admit students by examination, in case of equality of central exam scores, placement will be made by taking into account the superiority of the School Success Score (OBP), respectively, the End of Year Achievement Score (YBP) in the 8th, 7th and 6th grades, the low number of days of unexcused absence in the 8th grade, preference priority and if the equality is not violated, the student's age will be taken into consideration according to the date of birth of the students. This year's quotas and last year's percentages of schools that will accept students through the central exam within the scope of LGS can be accessed through the e-School system and the "Rota Maarif" platform.
The preference period will end tomorrow at 17.00. PLACEMENT RESULTS WILL BE ANNOUNCED ON AUGUST 5. Placement results and vacant quotas will be announced on "meb.gov.tr" on Wednesday, August 5. First transfer preference applications based on placement will be announced on 5-7 August, and preference results will be announced on 10 August. Second transfer preference applications will be received between 10-12 August and will be announced on 14 August. For students who cannot be placed anywhere, applications to the provincial and district student placement and transfer commissions will be made on 17-26 August, and the commissions will complete the placement process on 28 August. Boarding applications will be received by schools and institutions between 31 August and 3 September.
