The General Directorate of Food and Control of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry reported that it was determined that the white cheese reported to the public did not comply with the regulation and the relevant batch of product was collected from the market for destruction. In the statement made by the General Directorate, it was stated that there was a need to make a written statement in order to inform the public correctly about the news published in some broadcasting organizations and social media platforms.
In the statement, it was stated that an official control was carried out at the retail sales establishment subject to the application on June 17, upon the application made to Alo 174 Food Line at 21.15 on June 16, and the following was noted: "Within the scope of the inspection, a sample was taken from the Tahsildaroğlu branded 'ripened classic cracked white cheese' product with lot number '290625', which is the subject of the complaint, and was immediately sent to the food control laboratory directorate. As a result of the analyzes carried out by our laboratory, it was determined that the product does not comply with the Turkish Food Codex Microbiological Criteria Regulation."
