President Erdoğan talked on the phone with Uzbekistan President Mirziyoyev

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan had a telephone conversation with Uzbekistan President Shavket Mirziyoyev. According to the statement made by the Presidency's Directorate of Communications, Türkiye-Uzbekistan bilateral relations and regional and global issues were discussed during the meeting. President Erdoğan stated that the relations between the two countries are deepening day by day and reminded that the new road map was determined following the High Level Strategic Cooperation Council meeting held in January.

Hoping that this momentum will be maintained with the meetings to be held during his visit to Uzbekistan at the first opportunity, Erdogan reminded that they made decisions to strengthen the Family Council at the Unofficial Summit of the Organization of Turkic States in Turkestan in May. Erdoğan stated that they wish to take these decisions further at the Organization of Turkish States Summit to be held in Ankara on 29-30 October. President Erdoğan also celebrated the birthday of Mirziyoyev, whom he invited to the COP31 Climate Summit to be held in Antalya on 11-12 November.
