Kygo, the 34-Year-old DJ From Bergen, Is Challenging Football Star Erling Braut Haaland to Join Him on Stage

The world-famous artist recently shared an Instagram clip of his remix of "Kygo Jo" playing to a large crowd, with fans wearing Haaland jerseys. "When are we performing this one live? Kygo wrote in the post.

The song originated as a joke between Haaland and fellow footballers Erik Botheim and Erik Tobias Sandberg, who created it under the name "Flow Kingz. We were at a gathering and got a bit bored. Then we figured out we have another talent besides football.

And that is singing, Haaland told VG in 2018. Before Norway's World Cup match against Brazil in July, Kygo promised to release the remix if Haaland scored. The striker responded decisively on Instagram, and he went on to score both goals in the 2–1 victory. The track was released on July 7 and went straight to the top of Spotify Norway's Top 50 chart.
