Former Hungarian national team footballer Ákos Buzsáky broke his silence on Friday morning after being reported missing, posting a message on his social media page to reassure those worried about him. Buzsáky, a 20-time capped international, had been listed as a missing person by police since August 18, and no one had been able to reach him for days. His father had previously said he spoke with his son last week, noting that Buzsáky spends a lot of time in Greece and was unaware that police were searching for him.

In his Facebook post, Buzsáky explained that significant changes in his life over the past few months had taken a toll on him. "Unfortunately, serious changes have happened in my life in the last few months that are testing me. The waves crashed over my head, and the point came when I felt I had to tear myself away from these everyday things, he wrote.

He clarified that his worried mother had alerted the police due to a misunderstanding. "Thank you so much that so many of you were worried and thought of me.
