It Warned That the Shortage Could Knock Buses Carrying Medical Staff and Patients Out of Service Within Days

The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip warned that shortages of fuel, oil, tires and spare parts due to Israel's ongoing attacks and strict blockade could put buses carrying medical personnel and patients out of service within a few days. In the statement made by the Ministry, it was stated that the flights came to a halt due to the exhaustion of the materials required for the operation of transportation vehicles carrying healthcare workers and patients. It was stated in the statement that if transportation services are completely cut off, healthcare personnel will not be able to reach hospitals and patients will not be able to benefit from specialist healthcare services, and it was emphasized that especially cancer and kidney patients are at serious risk.

In the statement, it was noted that Israel's attacks on Gaza and the blockade that restricts the entry of humanitarian aid supplies and basic needs have left the healthcare system facing a severe crisis. The statement called on the international community and humanitarian organizations to "immediately intervene to save the transportation and ambulance system" and warned that failure to provide the necessary fuel, oil, tires and spare parts could render not only hospitals but also emergency healthcare services completely dysfunctional.
