The 57th hearing of the case involving the Aziz İhsan Aktaş criminal organization, in which 200 defendants, including 7 mayors, 6 of whom were suspended from duty, and 7 of whom were detained, was completed. At the hearing held by the Istanbul 1st High Criminal Court in the hall opposite the Marmara Closed Penal Institution, some of the defendants and their lawyers made statements against the prosecutor's opinion on the merits. Some of the detained defendants who were promised stated that they repeated their previous statements and stated that the allegations of forged signatures were not true.

The undetained defendants stated that an incomplete investigation was carried out, that the crime of forgery of private documents was not committed and that the elements of this crime did not occur, and argued that they did not commit any irregularities while working in the municipality. Claiming that they were accused in areas in which they had no duty and authority and that it was established within the scope of the file that no public harm occurred, the defendants who were not detained did not accept the accusations. Stating that they were not members of any organization, the defendants demanded their acquittal from all charges against them.

The defendants' lawyers also noted that when the file is examined in detail, their clients should be acquitted. President of the Court, Oğuzhan Gül, stated that only the defenses of the suspended Beşiktaş Mayor Rıza Akpolat and his lawyers were not taken in the file, and that Akpolat and his lawyers will make their defense tomorrow.
