Zonguldak's Ereğli District, Left Next to the Garbage Container, Were Mistaken for Garbage by the Municipal Teams

The suitcase and bag of the woman, who returned home after being discharged from the hospital in Zonguldak's Ereğli district, left next to the garbage container, were mistaken for garbage by the municipal teams and loaded onto the truck. The bag containing gold was found among the garbage as a result of the work of the police and municipality teams and was delivered to its owner. The incident took place in Karadeniz Ereğli district.

According to the information obtained, Sevda S., who was discharged after receiving treatment at the hospital, left her suitcase and bag in front of her house. The woman, who was learned to have had surgery, left the bag and suitcase for a short time to get an item from home. Meanwhile, the garbage collection team of Karadeniz Ereğli Municipality, passing through the region, mistook the suitcase and bag near the container for garbage and loaded them onto the truck.

Sevda S., who went out a short time later, noticed that her belongings were missing. The woman, who could not find any results in her search in the neighborhood, learned that her bag was taken by the garbage collection team. Stating that there was gold, house keys and personal belongings in the bag, Sevda S. went to Karadeniz Ereğli District Police Department and reported the situation.

Police teams took action and contacted the Karadeniz Ereğli Municipality Cleaning Affairs Directorate. The garbage truck was towed to a suitable area and emptied. Police and municipal teams took out the bag containing the gold from the garbage.

Receiving her gold, Sevda S. thanked the police and municipality teams and explained the incident with the following words: "This was the only thing that didn't happen to me. I had surgery, I left the suitcase and bag by the door because I couldn't carry them. I went upstairs to get something from the house.

When I returned, my belongings were gone. I asked everyone in the neighborhood, but no one had seen it. In addition to my gold, I had my house key and personal belongings in the bag."
