Bayraktar KIZILELMA, developed by Baykar, attracted attention with its test firing with JET-230 air-launched ballistic ammunition developed by Roketsan. This test carried out by KIZILELMA is of great importance in terms of turning unmanned warplanes into platforms that can use long-range ammunition not only in reconnaissance and attack missions, but also against high-value targets. The system is designed to be used against fixed land targets with its high speed, precision guidance and long range features. Thanks to these features, JET-230; It stands out as an ammunition that can be used against air defense systems, command centers, critical infrastructures and strategic land targets.

Roketsan's UAV-230 and JET-230 systems, which come from the same ammunition family, use similar technologies but are optimized for different platforms. İHA-230 was developed primarily for high altitude UAV platforms such as Bayraktar Akıncı and Aksungur. The system can offer a range of over 150 kilometers, depending on the drop altitude and speed.

JET-230, on the other hand, has been optimized for jet-powered unmanned combat aircraft such as Bayraktar KIZILELMA, which has higher speed and maneuverability. Thanks to the high speed and altitude advantage of KIZILELMA, the operational capabilities of JET-230 are expected to increase further. With its platform advantage, the system can reach a range potential exceeding 200 kilometers.

The concept of air-launched ballistic ammunition is gaining increasing importance around the world. Unlike traditional strategic missile systems, new generation tactical ballistic munitions; It is used in modern battlefields with its advantages of high speed, precise strike and low cost. Hypersonic ammunition projects such as the USA's AGM-183 ARRW and similar systems developed by Russia and China show that the race in this field continues.
