Update Date: July 25, 2026 13:36 A new one has been added to the intelligence reports published in the "Documents" section under the "Special Collection" tab on the official website of MİT. The document includes a letter dated August 27, 1933, sent to Istanbul B Headquarters with the phrase "will be opened personally", as an example of the activities of the D (Technical Support) Branch of the National Security Service Presidency (MAH) in opening and closing envelopes and deciphering secret letters. "The letter that came to the mailbox number 230 and was sent to the Presidency to be opened was opened according to the procedure written in the note received from the D. branch.
Since the first page of this two-page letter was tested, the writings were partially lost. The translation of the second page with the meanings of the words in the readable part is attached. Since the letter translated here has Lüsi's signature, it is possible that the letter's owner is Lucci Vidman.
If it is necessary to chemically treat the letters to be received from this box from now on, you are requested to use the following formula. Under the phrase "note" at the bottom of the document, it is stated that the letters and confidential correspondence in question can be opened with a mixture of 10 grams of perchloride de fer (ferrous chloride) and 90 grams of maimukattar (distilled water).
