Man who was shot by the police believes there was no reason to fire

The man who was shot in the leg after a nightclub was razed in Mo i Rana, believes the police went too far. At the same time, the Bureau is calling for videos from the actual moment of the shooting.

The football party at the Niveau nightclub ended in drama when a man razed the bar and was eventually shot by the police. Now the injured man has explained himself - and is coming out strongly against the police's use of force.

Just before the pub in Mo i Rana was to open its doors on 5 July, in order to show the historic World Cup match between Norway and Brazil, the employees had to evacuate. A man made his way into the bar and started knocking down and destroying things around him. The first reports to the police were that there was an unstable and possibly armed man at the nightclub.

When the police arrived at the scene, the man had gone out into the street. The police must have made several attempts to contact the man and control the situation.
