Measurement, Selection and Placement Center Presidency (ÖSYM) announced that the Ministry of National Education Academy Entrance Exam (MEB-AGS) and Teaching Field Knowledge Test (ÖABT) will be held on Sunday, July 26. According to the statement made by ÖSYM, the exam, for which applications are received on May 8-20 and will be held in two sessions, will be administered in 81 provinces and 103 exam centers, including Nicosia, the capital of the TRNC. The first session, MEB-AGS, will start at 10.15, candidates will be asked 80 multiple choice questions and will be given 110 minutes of answering time.
Candidates who are deemed appropriate to use additional time will be able to use up to 30 minutes of additional time. ÖABT will start at 14.45. Candidates will be asked 50 multiple choice questions and will be given 90 or 70 minutes to answer depending on their fields.
Candidates who are deemed appropriate to use additional time will be able to use up to 20 minutes of additional time. Provincial and district civil registry offices will be open on the exam day for candidates who have lost their identity card, do not have an identity card, or do not have an identity number and photo on their identity card. Candidates will be able to access their exam entry documents showing the location information of where they will take the exam, from ÖSYM's "ais.osym.gov.tr" address.
Exam results will be announced on August 26. MEB-AGS scores will be valid from the announcement of the results until the announcement of the next exam results. Explaining that 20 buildings in penal institutions made suitable for the exam will be used in this context, Ersoy stated that approximately 100 thousand officers will be involved in AGS and ÖABT. Stating that 308 thousand 413 candidates applied for the ÖABT application, Ersoy said, "Appropriate examination conditions were created for 1127 disabled candidates who applied for the exam, and studies were carried out according to their disability status.
Veterans who applied for the exam, as well as spouses and children of martyrs and veterans, were exempt from the exam fee, and within this scope, 1283 candidates were not charged an exam application fee. Pointing out that ÖABT will be held in 854 buildings and 14 thousand 156 halls will be used, Ersoy said, "21 candidates who are convicts or detainees will participate in the ÖABT application. "15 buildings made suitable for the exam will be used in penal institutions, he said.
Stating that the exam will be administered for the second time, ÖSYM President Ersoy said, "Candidates who meet the conditions specified in the Teaching Profession Law No. 7528 for entry to the National Education Academy within the scope of the relevant legislation will participate in the exam. Ersoy stated that the AGS practice to be held in the morning will cover the subjects of verbal and numerical ability, history, geography of Turkey, educational sciences and the Turkish national education system and legislation (Constitution of the Republic of Turkey, Human Rights Law, National Education Fundamental Law No. 1739, Primary Education and Education Law No. 222, Teaching Profession Law No. 7528). Stating that candidates will be asked questions according to their fields in the tests to be administered in the afternoon, Ersoy said: "I hope that this exam, which is an important stage in determining the teachers who prepare our children and young people for the future and build the future of our country, will be beneficial to all our candidates.
