The Guardian has published its ranked list of the 100 best novels of all time written in English, selected by a global vote of authors, critics and academics. The interactive feature, released on May 12, 2026, asks readers how many of the titles they have read. The project was edited by Charlotte Northedge, Liese Spencer, Justine Jordan, David Shariatmadari, Ella Creamer, Emma Loffhagen and Lisa Allardice, with production by Julia Longley, Nick Shave, Grainne Mooney and Katie Shimmon.

Pictures were handled by Kate Edwards, Caroline Hunter, Louis Siroy and Sadie Gould, while design and development was led by Barry Ainslie, Fred O’Brien, Pip Lev, Sara Ramsbottom, Rich Cousins, Maggie Murphy, Alessia Amitrano, Harry Fischer, Ellen Wishart and Tara Herman.
