Hila Cage Coppola, in Her Bid to Serve the Actor With a Cross-complaint Alleging He and His Ex, Christina Fulton, Interfered in Her Marriage

Judge Huey P. Cotton on Tuesday revoked an earlier order allowing Hila to serve Cage by publication in a legal newspaper, ruling she had not made sufficient efforts to personally serve him, as Cage's attorneys noted he lives in Nevada. The judge then dismissed as moot Cage's motion to quash the summons. Hila, who is representing herself, filed the cross-complaint in February 2024 against Cage, Weston Coppola, and Fulton, seeking damages for defamation, malicious prosecution, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

She alleges Cage and Fulton exerted financial and emotional control over Weston, undermining his treatment and contributing to the marriage's breakdown, and that after she filed for separation, they launched a retaliatory media campaign. Weston and Fulton have separately sued Hila, accusing her of spreading false claims, including that Fulton encouraged Weston to abuse Xanax and sleep nude with her until age 17. Hila and Weston were married from 2018 until their 2021 divorce.
