Wesley Bell Won Tuesday's Primary in the St

Democratic Rep. Wesley Bell won Tuesday's primary in the St. Louis area, defeating progressive former Rep. Cori Bush and halting momentum for pro-Palestinian candidates.

Bell, who unseated Bush two years ago with pro-Israel group support, prevailed in the heavily Democratic district, making him the favorite for November. "St Louis is up against a president that is coming after our healthcare, our due process, and the paychecks of working families, he said, vowing to resist the administration. The New Democrat Majority PAC, which invested $1m to defeat Bush, called it "another clear victory for Democrats focused on delivering results.

Bush, a two-term "Squad" member, framed the race as a referendum on Bell's Israel aid stance. The United Democracy Project, an Aipac-aligned Super PAC, spent about $3m backing Bell. Bell also had House Democratic leadership and the Congressional Black Caucus support, while Bush drew from progressive groups.

The candidates clashed over Trump resistance and regional growth, with Bell criticizing Bush's infrastructure vote and "fascism" comment; Bush accused Bell of having his seat bought by Aipac. Bell supports Israel but opposes Netanyahu's government, insisting the spending didn't dictate his policies.
