Lego Unveils $140 Hubble Space Telescope Set With 1,252 Pieces
Lego has unveiled a new Hubble Space Telescope set, priced at $140, featuring 1,252 pieces that build a 15-inch-long desktop model, about twice the size of previous Lego Hubble sets.
The model, roughly 1:35 scale of the real 43.5-foot (13.2-meter) observatory, features removable panels exposing mirrors and interior components like the STIS, COS, ACS, and NICMOS instruments, plus gyroscopes, guidance sensors, antennas, and solar arrays. It also includes a display stand with a plaque listing Hubble's five servicing missions. The set was developed with NASA and ESA, and its aperture door opens to reveal the secondary mirror assembly. Mother of Hubble, Nancy Grace Roman, is honored with a minifigure, and the set is scheduled for release on December 1, 2025.
