Iranian Leadership Is Unbelievably Duplicitous!
President Donald Trump said Monday that negotiations with Iran were "going on right now, calling the talks Tehran's "last chance" to reach a deal that would reopen the Strait of Hormuz and address U.S. concerns over Iran's nuclear program."
The second phase will be the denuclearization. Earlier, Trump lashed out at Iranian leaders on Truth Social after Tehran denied engaging in negotiations. "Iranian Leadership is unbelievably duplicitous! he wrote, accusing Iran of privately seeking talks while publicly denying them.
Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei said: "We are not currently negotiating with the United States. Our negotiations are with Oman to secure passage through the Strait of Hormuz. The conflict began on February 28 after U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iranian targets, disrupting shipping through the strategic waterway. Trump insists Iran must agree to both reopening the strait and abandoning any path toward developing a nuclear weapon.
