Gaza's Health Ministry warned that the territory's medicine and medical supply crisis is deepening, with cancer and blood-disease patients facing serious treatment risks, as Israel continues strikes despite a ceasefire and restricts aid entry. In a written statement, the ministry said 61% of drugs used for cancer and blood disorders are missing, disrupting treatment protocols and endangering lives. Overall drug shortages in Gaza have hit 47%, with medical consumables at 58% and lab-test materials at 85%, potentially halting most diagnostic and therapeutic services.

Shortages also affect maternal and child health drugs (56%), primary-care medicines (55%), kidney and dialysis drugs (46%), mental health and neurology drugs (35%), emergency and intensive-care drugs (33%), surgical supplies (39%), and orthopedic materials (47%). The ministry noted severe lab-material shortfalls directly hamper medical teams' response capacity, especially for CBC, blood gas, and clinical biochemistry tests in ICUs and operating rooms. It stressed the health system's crisis is worsening as Israel restricts entry of medicines, consumables, and lab equipment alongside aid.
