Turkey's State Hydraulic Works Has Launched a 250 Million Lira Project to Bring Clean Drinking Water to Rize's Güneysu District and 11

DSİ General Manager Mehmet Akif Balta said the Güneysu Drinking Water Project includes a 14.6-kilometer transmission line, with pipe-laying already underway, and three clean water reservoirs. Balta noted the investment will provide modern, safe water infrastructure to the district center and villages, and is designed to meet future water needs. The project is targeted for completion in the second half of 2027. "Bu kapsamda Güneysu İçme Suyu Projesi'ne ilk kazmayı vurduk. Toplam 250 milyon lira yatırım bedeline sahip proje kapsamında, 14,6 kilometre uzunluğunda isale hattı inşa edilecek olup, boru döşeme çalışmalarına başlanmıştır"
