Turkey Shifts Green and Gray Passport Applications to Digital System The Interior Ministry has moved passport applications to a fully digital environment, doing away with the requirement for electronic signatures and seals. Special applications such as green and gray passports are now integrated into the e-signature and digital approval system. Under the new process, institutions that previously issued request forms for eligible applicants transfer the documents directly to the Central Population Administration System, enabling instant verification and preventing delays from missing paperwork. The ministry has integrated 29 public institutions, including the Justice and Health Ministries, into the system, with 512,000 request forms processed to date.
