He Also Thanked All Health Workers, Midwives, and Teams Who Work Devotedly to Encourage Breastfeeding
Health Minister Kemal Memişoğlu marked World Breastfeeding Week by highlighting the importance of breast milk and announcing that breastfeeding counseling services remain widely available nationwide, with more than 300,000 people trained in 2025. In a social media post, Memişoğlu wrote, “Breast milk is a unique miracle that lets our children take the healthiest step into life. He said that, in line with a preventive health approach, efforts to support mothers and babies continue with determination across the country.”
The minister emphasized that he and his team will continue to stand by mothers and families to ensure children enter a healthy future and to further strengthen preventive health services. He also thanked all health workers, midwives, and teams who work devotedly to encourage breastfeeding. His post included a video featuring mothers and specialists from the ministry’s Breastfeeding and Relactation Polyclinic in Izmir.
