Khamenei Urges Islamic Nations to Confront 'True Enemies'

Iran's Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei called on Islamic countries to recognize their "true enemies" and counter their plans, in a message marking Islamic Unity Week in Iran. "The criminal rulers of the United States and the false Zionist regime are sworn enemies of Islamic unity and the entire Islamic Ummah, including the peoples of West Asia and North Africa, Khamenei said. Addressing Islamic countries, he added: "Recognize your true enemies and counter the plan of these ill-intentioned enemies of Islam, which consists of highlighting differences within the Islamic Ummah to weaken and dominate it. Khamenei also said that "the tyrants of the world, led by the criminal United States, have removed the deceptive masks from the repugnant face of their colonial goals and their arrogant, hegemonic plans, and have taken off their velvet gloves, showing the whole world their blood-stained claws." He stressed that it is now essential for Islamic countries to strengthen unity and synergy to defend each other against impiety, and that they should resolve their problems through unity of purpose, friendship, and cooperation on the path of good.
