No One Will Be Able to Dissuade Turkey and the Turkish Nation From Their Blessed

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan issued a message marking the 104th anniversary of Victory Day on August 30, emphasizing national unity and solidarity. "No one will be able to dissuade Turkey and the Turkish Nation from their blessed struggle," he said. Erdoğan noted that the Great Victory paved the way for the founding of the Republic, saying the August 30 Victory once again confirmed that the lands where people have lived freely for a thousand years are the "eternal homeland." He added that the Great Victory, which opened the path to the Republic's establishment, declared to the world that the nation would never accept captivity and helped break the imperialist siege on the region.

Referring to the struggle shown during the period when the Great Victory was won, Erdoğan said, "The determination, courage and resolve we showed as a nation 104 years ago, despite all kinds of impossibilities, remain our strongest source of motivation today." Erdoğan stated that Turkey, drawing inspiration and self-confidence from its history, is advancing toward its goals in many areas from energy to the defense industry, from science and technology to foreign policy. He noted that in a period when wars, conflicts, crises and political uncertainties are increasing in the world, Turkey stands out with its enterprising policies. Erdoğan also stressed the "Century of Turkey" vision, thanking all citizens who are contributing to its construction in unity and solidarity, just as 104 years ago.
