South Korea's capital region is expected to see its heat wave advisory lifted on Sunday as cloudy skies and rain move across the country, while the southern regions brace for heavy downpours accompanied by strong winds, lightning, and thunder. The Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) forecast on Saturday that Sunday would bring mostly cloudy or rainy conditions nationwide, with lows of 20–26 degrees Celsius and highs of 26–32 degrees. In the capital region, skies will be mostly cloudy with occasional rain in the early morning, bringing 10–60 mm of precipitation, with up to 100 mm expected in southern Gyeonggi Province.

Lows there will be around 21 degrees and highs around 28 degrees. The Yeongnam region (southeastern South Korea) will also be mostly cloudy, with 30–80 mm of rain in some areas during the morning. The KMA stated, On the 30th, it will be mostly cloudy or rainy across the country, with lows of 20–26 degrees and highs of 26–32 degrees.
