🇹🇷 Türkiye35 Suspects Detained in an Operation Against the Alihan Kuriş Criminal Organization, While Two Others Were Released Under Judicial Control

The suspects were referred to the courthouse by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office after police procedures were completed.
A Turkish court ordered the arrest of 35 people in the third wave of an operation targeting the Süleymancılar religious community, the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office said. Of the 38 people detained in the operation, 37 were referred to the courthouse, and the court ruled to arrest 35 of them, while two were released under judicial control. The operation was carried out on Aug.
25, 2026, as part of an investigation into alleged "activities of a criminal organization for profit" by the Süleymancılar structure. The suspects were brought before the chief prosecutor's office and then referred to the criminal court of peace with a request for arrest. After appearing before the judge, 35 of the 37 suspects were arrested, and two were released under judicial control conditions. The prosecutor's office did not provide further details about the suspects or the allegations.
