Istanbul Hit by Heavy Rain, Thunderstorms After Weather Warning

The downpour, which moved in from the Black Sea, caused water accumulation on roads, making driving difficult for motorists. In the Ümraniye district, early-morning rain was accompanied by a brief northeasterly wind, while lightning flashes occasionally lit up the sky. Authorities urged residents to remain cautious and prepared against potential hazards such as flash floods, waterlogging, lightning strikes, localized hail, strong winds during rainfall, and transportation disruptions. The warnings come as the city braces for continued adverse weather conditions.
