Peugeot Türkiye announced that the popular light commercial vehicle model Rifter will now be produced in Turkey. With this strategic step, the vehicle is preparing to hit the roads with the domestic production label.

The production process of Peugeot Rifter will start at the Tofaş Factory in Bursa as of the third quarter of 2026. Company management states that this development is a reflection of the trust in Turkey's automotive production infrastructure. Peugeot Brand Director Gupse Kaplan stated that the inclusion of Rifter in the domestic product range, after the Expert Van and Expert Traveler models, will take operations to a new level. Kaplan emphasized that with this move, they aim to grow their share in the light commercial vehicle market in a sustainable manner.

Türkiye is on its way to becoming not only a strong market for Peugeot, but also a strategic production center. With the advantages ion in its segment. The brand's C segment light commercial vehicle journey in Turkey started with the Partner model in the past.

Until the launch of Rifter in 2019, the brand operated in this segment under the name Partner for a long time. Since 2003, Peugeot has reached a total sales figure of 213 thousand 921 units in the C segment consisting of Partner, Partner Tepee, Rifter and Partner Van models. While combi van models accounted for 174 thousand 756 of these sales, panel van models sold 39 thousand 165 units.

The models, which were put on sale under the names Rifter and Partner Van in 2019, have reached a total of 84 thousand 556 users to date. During this period, 67 thousand 404 Rifters and 17 thousand 152 Partner Vans were sold.
