🇷🇴 RomaniaThe Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (ISU) Has Not Yet Determined the Cause of the Fire
An explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) team from Romania's Ministry of National Defense (MApN) was checking the area of a vegetation fire near the village of Plauru, in Tulcea County, on Thursday morning, searching for possible drone debris. The military specialists were deployed after local residents claimed the blaze broke out following the explosion of a drone. The fire occurred the previous day.
The Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (ISU) has not yet determined the cause of the fire. The EOD team's search focused on the zone where the vegetation fire had been reported, as authorities investigated the circumstances surrounding the incident. No further details were immediately available.
The search was part of an ongoing effort to establish what sparked the fire, with the military examining the area for any remnants that could confirm the residents' account. ISU officials said the cause remains under investigation.
