Samsung will introduce the Galaxy S27 series early next year. While there are still months to go until the launch, battery details of the two most anticipated devices, Galaxy S27 Pro and Galaxy S27 Ultra, have emerged. There will be four models in the Galaxy S27 series; S27, S27+, S27 Pro and S27 Ultra.

Among these models, Galaxy S27 Pro and Galaxy S27 Ultra will stand out. The Samsung S27 Ultra and S27 Pro will be above the standards for the Samsung Galaxy S series in terms of battery capacity. Samsung is said to equip the Galaxy S27 Ultra with a battery with a nominal capacity of 5,534 mAh and will likely market it as a typical capacity of 5,700 mAh.

Galaxy S26 Ultra has a 5000 mAh battery. This means an increase of 15%. Galaxy S27 Pro also comes with a larger battery.

Samsung reportedly plans to use a battery with a nominal capacity of 5,087 mAh and market it as a typical capacity of 5,200 mAh. As in previous years, the brand will likely mention typical capacity on product pages. Galaxy S27 Pro and Galaxy S27 Ultra come with new battery technology.

It is reported that larger batteries are possible thanks to silicon-carbon battery technology. The new battery design increases energy density, allowing manufacturers to fit more capacity into the same physical space. Samsung has already started using this technology in its newest foldable phones, including the Galaxy Z Flip 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra.
