Turkey Updates Rules for Simple Lodgings, Beaches With New Safety Standards in Türkiye

Turkey has amended its regulations for simple accommodation facilities and beach operations, introducing new mandatory safety and service standards. The changes, published in the Official Gazette, will require facilities with 25 or more rooms to have a reception desk. Additionally, pool and sunbathing areas must feature non-slip flooring, and pools must display safety steps and depth measurements.

The regulation aims to standardize basic hospitality services and enhance guest safety across the country. The amendments apply to all qualifying facilities, with the new requirements set to take effect following the official publication.
