🇮🇹 ItalyDays of the South to Host Debate on Southern Italy Issues for Third Year

For the third consecutive year, the Days of the South will host a public debate on current issues affecting southern Italy, the country as a whole, and Europe. The event, promoted by the Chamber of Commerce of Bari, is scheduled for September 22 and 24, 2026, at the Fiera del Levante. The September 22 session will analyze the impact of international crises and conflicts on the economy, trade, and politics, while the September 24 session will focus on developments and opportunities offered by artificial intelligence.
The discussions will reflect on shifts in global balances driven by military and trade conflicts, and their repercussions on southern Italy, with attention to the strategic role of the Mediterranean and Europe in the new geopolitical landscape. Data showing significant variation among ports, with Port Said leading the way at +22.9%, will be presented at the opening of the first session. Globalization is going through a new phase, and with it the conditions in which companies operate are being redefined. Energy, raw materials, logistics, infrastructure, and market access are increasingly tied to geopolitical balances.
