Turkey to Launch Alo 193 Joint Damage Notification Center on September 1, 2026 in Türkiye

A new centralized accident damage reporting system will launch in Turkey on September 1, 2026, affecting 34.7 million vehicle owners. The Alo 193 Joint Damage Notification Center (OHİM) will allow citizens to file traffic accident damage reports through a single point of contact. The system is being implemented under the action plan of the Insurance and Private Pension Regulation and Supervision Agency (SEDDK).

It aims to make post-accident damage reporting faster and easier for citizens. The new regulation also targets organized groups that illegally obtain citizens' information after traffic accidents in an attempt to secure damage tracking power of attorney. The system created under SEDDK's action plan is intended to help citizens submit damage reports more quickly and easily.

Beyond the damage notification system, the action plan includes various improvements to ensure post-accident compensation processes are carried out faster and more fairly. New measures are being introduced in the areas of supervision, regulation, implementation, and technology.
