The ship will serve athletes in 20 sports using venues near the port, including archery, 3x3 basketball, men's football, gymnastics, judo, rowing, rugby, tennis, weightlifting, and wrestling.

The vessel comes equipped with dining and ancillary facilities. At Garden Pier, another form of village will house about 2,400 people in mobile accommodations. These container-sized units contain living quarters and equipment and can be relocated by trailer or ship.

Rather than being demolished after the Games, they are designed for reuse as hotels, residences, or temporary housing during disasters. About 1,200 people will stay in Nagoya city hotels. In total, roughly 8,200 athletes and officials will be dispersed across the Nagoya area, combining the cruise ship, mobile units, and hotels.
