The search for the next James Bond may finally be over, with producers reportedly close to choosing who will take over the role from Daniel Craig. Industry insider Daniel Richtman, known for sharing behind-the-scenes news, said the casting process has reached its final stage and that producers may have already found their man, though he did not reveal the actor's name. Jack Lowden has emerged as a leading contender after television host Richard Osman recently brought his name into the conversation.
Osman said Lowden is being seriously considered for the role and would make a great Bond. Lowden is best known for playing River Cartwright in the Apple TV+ series Slow Horses and has also appeared in Dunkirk, Mary Queen of Scots, and Ella McCay. He is set to play Mr. Darcy in this year's Pride and Prejudice adaptation.
Several other actors remain in the running, including Jacob Elordi and Henry Cavill, who have long been fan favorites. Callum Turner, Tom Hardy, Idris Elba, and Aaron Pierre have also been linked to the role. With the latest rumors, Lowden has moved slightly ahead in the race, but nothing is certain until an official announcement is made.
No formal confirmation has been issued yet. The next Bond film has not been officially announced, and the search continues to be a topic of intense speculation among fans and industry observers alike.
