61 Attacks on Ukrainian Defense Forces Positions Since the Start of the Day, Concentrating Their Main Efforts

Russian forces have launched 61 attacks on Ukrainian Defense Forces positions since the start of the day, concentrating their main efforts on the Pokrovsk, Sloviansk, and Lyman sectors of the front. According to Ukrinform, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this in an operational update published on Facebook as of 16:00 on Sunday, July 26. Russian artillery shelled the settlements of Korenok, Bachivsk, Yastrubshchyna, Tovstodubove, Ulanove, and Neskuchne in the Sumy region, as well as Senkivka in the Chernihiv region. Russian aircraft also carried out airstrikes near Tovstodubove and Ulanove in the Sumy region.

In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, Russian troops made no attempts to advance but shelled Ukrainian positions and settlements 34 times. In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, Russian forces launched six assaults near Starytsia and Okhrimivka. One engagement is still ongoing.

In the Kupiansk sector, Russian troops attempted to advance twice near Podoly and Kurylivka. Both engagements remain underway. In the Lyman sector, Russian forces launched 12 assaults near Shyikivka, Novoselivka, Drobysheve, Stavky, Lyman, Dibrova, and Ozerne.

Fighting continues in two of those engagements. In the Sloviansk sector, Russian troops carried out 13 attacks near Kryva Luka, Zakitne, Pyskunivka, Rai-Oleksandrivka, and Riznykivka. One battle is ongoing.

In the Kostiantynivka sector, Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled eight Russian attacks near Kostiantynivka and Illinivka. In the Pokrovsk sector, Russian forces launched 14 attempts to push Ukrainian troops from their positions near Shevchenko, Novyi Donbas, Pavlivka, Kotlyne, Novohryshyne, Novooleksandrivka, and Udachne. In the Huliaipole sector, Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled six Russian assaults near Ternuvate, Hirke, Staroukrainka, Tsvitkove, and Charivne.

Russian forces did not attempt to advance in the Kramatorsk, Oleksandrivka, Orikhiv, or Dnipro River sectors. No significant changes were reported on other sectors of the front.
