Gamescom 2026 Opening Night Live Kicks Off This Evening With Geoff Keighley Hosting

Gamescom 2026 officially kicks off this evening with the Opening Night Live showcase, hosted by Geoff Keighley. The main show begins at 7pm BST (8pm CEST / 2pm EDT / 11am PDT), with a pre-show starting half an hour earlier. It is expected to end by 9pm BST, meaning the main show runs for roughly two hours.

The headline reveal is the first proper look at The Witcher 3 expansion Songs of the Past, about which little is known. The showcase should clarify the setting and new features. Also expected is footage of the Dungeons & Dragons third-person action game Warlock, which has only been shown as a CGI teaser so far, and a look at the third and final Final Fantasy 7 remake instalment, Revelation.

Other possible announcements include more of Alien: Isolation 2, a glimpse of Guild Wars 3 from ArenaNet, and a potential Diablo 4 reveal for Switch 2 from Blizzard. Beyond reveals, a flurry of release dates is expected, including for The Duskbloods, still set for this year, and the Zelda Ocarina of Time remake, though a major Nintendo announcement at this event would be a surprise.
