Jones, the stage persona of artist Oliver Knöbel, 56, is best known for her Hamburg connections, where she lives and runs several venues on the Reeperbahn. Jones has now proposed a compromise: "Olivia-Jones-Platz der Vielfalt. In a survey of around 350 people, mostly from Springe, nearly half voted for renaming the square "Olivia-Jones-Platz. More than one in ten votes went to "Platz der Vielfalt" or "Platz der Gleichstellung (Square of Equality). The local council is set to decide on the matter.
