County Are Searching for a Man Who Rode an Electric Scooter and Collided With a Cyclist in Gyula, Hungary, on August 24, 2026, Then Failed

Authorities are also seeking a woman who helped the injured cyclist and any other witnesses. The collision occurred between 12:15 p.m. and 12:30 p.m. in the Göndöcs garden in Gyula, according to a Facebook post by the Békés County police. The scooter rider, described as a man around 24–25 years old, did not stop after the crash, prompting the Gyula Police Department to launch a search to clarify the circumstances.

The man was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, bluish denim shorts, and sunglasses perched on top of his head. The cyclist involved in the accident fell and was assisted by a woman at the scene. Police are asking the woman who provided help, as well as anyone who witnessed the collision or has information about the scooter rider or the incident, to come forward.
