Man Arrested After Taxi Caught Driving Wrong Way on A55 in Anglesey in Türkiye

A man has been arrested after a taxi was caught on dashcam driving on the wrong side of the A55 North Wales Expressway in Anglesey on Monday evening. North Wales Police used a spike strip to stop the vehicle as it travelled toward oncoming traffic. The force said no one was injured during the incident, but a cyclist was knocked over in Holyhead before the vehicle joined the highway, suffering non-life-threatening injuries.

A number of parked vehicles were also damaged. The man was taken into custody last night as an investigation was launched. The alarming incident, captured by Royal Air Force serviceman Martin Williams, comes days after a tragic crash in Teesside in which seven people, including two police officers, were killed.
