Kang Also Served As Bench Coach for the 2026 World Baseball Classic (WBC) Earlier This Year.
South Korea's national baseball team, aiming for a fifth consecutive Asian Games gold medal, will convene on September 14. The Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) and the Korea Baseball Softball Association (KBSA) announced on the 25th that they have finalized the coaching staff for the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games.
Kang also served as chief coach at the 2026 World Baseball Classic (WBC) earlier this year. Choi Won-ho, an SBS Sports commentator, will serve as the pitching coach, while Lee Dong-wook, a full-time national team coach, will handle defense.
