🇨🇴 ColombiaIn the Area of Carrera 11 With Calle 8

The intervention will take place between 8:45 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. in the area of Carrera 11 with Calle 8. During that period, workers will operate on the low-voltage network and carry out tree-trimming tasks. The schedule for this Tuesday also includes Altos de Pradomar, in Puerto Colombia, where elements of the electrical infrastructure will be replaced. The work will be concentrated on Diagonal 3A with Carrera 31, between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. In parallel with the scheduled network work, Air-e Intervenida is holding meetings with communities in Atlántico, Magdalena and La Guajira to promote energy savings amid the high temperatures associated with the El Niño phenomenon.
One of the most recent sessions was held with local council members of the Metropolitana locality of Barranquilla. The company recommended avoiding so-called silent consumption, generated by appliances and equipment that remain plugged in even when not in use, and making more efficient use of air conditioners, refrigerators and other high-consumption devices. Air-e also presented the 'Caribe Cambia tu Energía' program, aimed at replacing inefficient refrigeration equipment with lower-consumption technologies.
The company said these actions seek to reduce electricity demand in homes and establishments during periods of higher temperatures. On the commercial side, it reported that more than 80,000 users have caught up on their energy debts through the 'Ponte Bacano' strategy, which offers alternatives to customers with overdue bills. The company aims to combine infrastructure interventions with actions to reduce consumption at a time when high temperatures are increasing the use of cooling systems in the Caribbean region. The scheduled outages will last up to ten hours.
