🇪🇸 SpainLevante Drop Musuayi From Squad After RFEF Suspension Warning in Spain

Levante were forced to leave Musuayi out of their squad for Sunday's match against Osasuna after the Spanish Football Federation alerted the club to a suspension just before kickoff.
The Valencian club had spent the day trying to include the player in the matchday list, but the RFEF's warning minutes before kickoff forced them to drop him as a precaution. The suspension dates back to March, when Musuayi, then playing for Club NXT, was sent off in a match against Jong Genk in Belgium's second division. Although he had already served the ban — he returned to action with Club Brugge's reserve team in the same competition — the RFEF informed Levante of the outstanding sanction just before the game started.
After the match, Levante coach Luís Castro voiced his frustration in a press conference. "I don't understand this situation. The player served his suspension and has competed again.
If you play in a competition and now you're suspended again, it makes no sense. I don't understand this." Castro said he wanted Musuayi on the bench because the player has worked very well. Musuayi, who joined Levante in the summer, has been training well and was expected to be an option off the bench against Osasuna.
