🇦🇫 AfghanistanPîslaru, Has Reaffirmed His Claim That the Country Will Absorb Over 90% of the Non-reimbursable Grant Funds From the National Recovery
He added that if Parliament also adopts the unified salary law for public employees, the absorption rate for the grant portion of the PNRR could reach 97%. "At this moment I tell you, guaranteed, that we will pass 90% grant absorption. Without it, if we had the salary law, we would reach 97." I said we will reach at least 90%, I maintain this statement, you can later, when we submit payment request 6, look at the tape and say: well, has he gone crazy or was he right?
Now there is panic, that we are losing billions, that we are doing, that we are fixing! I tell you, the way we renegotiated the PNRR, we will receive the non-reimbursable money above 90%, Pîslaru declared on B1 TV on Monday evening, as cited by News.ro. He added that the adoption of the unified salary law represents the difference between a Romania that would receive "ninety-something" percent of non-reimbursable PNRR funds and a Romania that accesses 97% of the grants. Pîslaru's comments come amid concerns over the country's ability to fully utilize the European funds allocated under the recovery plan.
