YKS university preference submissions to start July 29, end August 10
The Turkish Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM) has announced that university preference submissions for the 2026 YKS exam will open on July 29 and close on August 10 at 23:59 local time.

Following the release of YKS results, millions of candidates are now focused on the preference process. According to ÖSYM's official calendar, submissions for both two-year associate degree and four-year undergraduate programs will be accepted exclusively online. Candidates can submit their preferences via the ÖSYM Candidate Processing System (AİS) at ais.osym.gov.tr or through the ÖSYM AİS mobile app, using their Turkish ID numbers and passwords. The placement results are expected to be announced in mid-August, after the preference period ends, though an official date will be confirmed by ÖSYM.
