🇹🇷 TürkiyeLaw on Strengthening National Solidarity and Social Cohesion Will Hold Its First Meeting Today, Chaired by Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz

The main agenda will be efforts to monitor the terrorist organization's dissolution and disarmament process. The law, passed with 467 votes in the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM), was published in the Official Gazette and entered into force. The committee, which will monitor the Terror-Free Turkey process, has begun its activities under the law.
The first meeting, chaired by Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, will take place at the Presidential Complex. The ministers of Justice, Foreign Affairs, Interior, and National Defense will attend the meeting. The Presidential Secretary General, the head of the National Intelligence Organization (MİT), and the Secretary General of the National Security Council (MGK) will also be present.
The main agenda of the first meeting will be the dissolution and disarmament process of the terrorist organization. A comprehensive assessment will be made regarding the process's reflections on the field and its close monitoring by security units, and sub-commissions to be formed according to needs will be discussed. The committee will follow the process until the dissolution of the PKK/KCK and affiliated formations and the delivery of all weapons and ammunition under the terrorist organization's control.
Work will be carried out with full inter-institutional coordination to determine that weapons have been irreversibly abandoned. A National Security Council decision will be awaited for verification.
