Requests for accreditation in healthcare have increased significantly

Assoc. Prof. President of the Turkish Health Services Quality and Accreditation Institute (TÜSKA), affiliated with the Turkish Health Institutes Presidency (TÜSEB). Dr. Bayram Demir said that there are nearly 180 new accreditation applications covering public, private and university health facilities. TÜSKA President Demir, in Bursa, where he was for a program, stated that TÜSKA accredited hospitals, laboratories, oral and dental health institutions and dialysis centers in line with national and international standards.

Stating that the main purpose of accreditation is to improve the quality of health services and strengthen patient, employee and facility safety, Demir explained that the compliance of health institutions with international standards is documented through independent evaluations. Demir pointed out that the Ministry of Health has included quality and accreditation studies among its important agenda items and stated that this approach supports continuous improvement in health services. Pointing out that the demand for accreditation has increased significantly recently, Demir said: "We currently have nearly 180 new applications.

These include our public, private and university health facilities. We see that a feverish effort is being carried out for accreditation, which we call the pinnacle of quality in health services throughout Türkiye."
