Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu said, "Thanks to our (Yalova-Armutlu Road) Project, we reduced the travel time from 1 hour to approximately 30 minutes."

  • Thus, we saved a total of 260 million liras annually in time and fuel, he said.
  • Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Yalova-Armutlu Road, Uraloğlu stated that Yalova, which is at the very center of the triangle of Istanbul, Kocaeli and Bursa, has grown and become huge with the abundance of the Osmangazi Bridge, and has a strategic position in the logistics and economic development of the country with its increasing industry, tourism and trade potential.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Yalova-Armutlu Road, Uraloğlu stated that Yalova, which is at the very center of the triangle of Istanbul, Kocaeli and Bursa, has grown and become huge with the abundance of the Osmangazi Bridge, and has a strategic position in the logistics and economic development of the country with its increasing industry, tourism and trade potential. Emphasizing that the city is the shining star of the country with its summer tourism, healing waters, history and developing shipyards, Uraloğlu said: "We have continued our transportation investments without slowing down, with great love, in order to add a strong breath to the future of Yalova by making this star shine even more, and to bring its logistics and tourism potential to the top. Today, we are experiencing the joy and pride of opening the Yalova-Armutlu Road together with you.

Under the leadership of our President, exactly what we say. We have a slogan that suits both our party and transportation operators and ground passengers. What do we say?

We say 'No stopping, keep going'. Uraloğlu stated that they opened 6 tunnels with a total length of 6 thousand 140 meters along with the road in question today, and emphasized that today the total tunnel length is 868 kilometers, and they increased the tunnel length 17 times in 24 years. "Imagine for a moment that you are going underground from Yalova today, we have reached a tunnel length of 868 kilometers that goes to our city of Ordu and does not see the sky, said Uraloğlu.

"Under the leadership of our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan... As our esteemed President always expresses, 'From where to where'. We are on the side of those who produce works, not those who produce words. We produce works and put them into service.

We are not among those who keep promises, but are among those who turn their words into action. "As our entire team, our AK Party organization, our Ministry and our government, he said.

Providing information about the works carried out, Uraloğlu continued his speech as follows: "2.5 kilometers of our total 45-kilometer route connecting Yalova to Esenköy and Armutlu consists of a divided road with bituminous hot mixture coating. 10.7 kilometers of the Esenköy crossing is a double-lane road with bitumen hot mixture coating, again with shoulders and safety lanes, and 31.8 kilometers is a double-lane road with surface coating and safety lanes. With God's permission, we will continue the hot mixture of our lane road, and we will never disrupt it.

Especially since the section passing through the Esenköy settlement was within the development roads, there was a high level of traffic density in this region. We have passed this critical point of the road, starting from the T-1 tunnel and going to T-6, with the 6 tunnels with a length of 6 thousand 140 meters, 4 viaducts with a length of 529 meters, 5 bridges with a total length of 284 meters and 3 at-grade intersections that I just mentioned. By moving the road line away from the coastline, we enabled transit passage without stopping at the settlement center.

Thus, we have established a much faster and more comfortable alternative passage by relieving the coastal area, which is clogged due to the intensity of tourism, especially in the summer months. "Thanks to our project, we reduced the travel time from 1 hour to approximately 30 minutes, said Uraloğlu and continued: "Thus, we saved a total of 260 million lira annually, including 240 million lira from time and 20 million lira from fuel. In fact, I would like to take this opportunity to share with you how feasible our project is.

Again, we made a significant contribution to the environment and climate-friendly transportation by reducing carbon emissions by 900 tons annually. Now, transportation between Yalova, Esenköy and Armutlu has become much faster, safer and more comfortable. We aim to further increase this comfort by making the entire road with bituminous hot mixture coating in the coming periods.

Uraloğlu stated that they will also make inspections at the Yalova South Ring Road construction site. Stating that they will create a new alternative to the Yalova-Çınarcık-Armutlu axis, which is used by an average of 24 thousand vehicles every day, with the Yalova South Ring Road, Uraloğlu continued his words as follows: "By transferring some of the traffic on the Yalova city center to the ring road, it will ease the congestion in the region, move tourism centers to the state road and We will also ensure uninterrupted connection to the Istanbul-Izmir Highway.

We have also started working on the project to connect that ring road to the southern highway, which we plan to build in the future. This is also an important project. We are building our 5.9-kilometer-long ring road to divided road and bituminous hot mixture paved road standards.

In our project, we will build 4 bridges and 4 underpasses. By reducing the current road length from 9.4 kilometers to 5.9 kilometers, we will shorten our road by 3.5 kilometers, but more importantly, we will reduce the travel time from 19 minutes to only 3 minutes. Minister Uraloğlu pointed out that these two projects are complementary to each other and said, "It will strengthen Yalova's transportation infrastructure as a whole.

In this way, we will significantly eliminate the heavy traffic in Yalova city center, especially during religious holidays, summer season and weekends. "This will both strengthen our economy and protect our nature, he said. Expressing that they are aware of the importance of every project that will strengthen Yalova's transportation network, Uraloğlu said: "For this reason, in the last 24 years, under the leadership of our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, we have implemented a project worth approximately 144 billion lira for Yalova's transportation and communication infrastructure. We increased the length of the divided road from 19 kilometers to 85 kilometers, and the length of bituminous hot mixture from 23 kilometers to 121 kilometers."
