🇳🇱 NetherlandsVerstappen Went Off the Track and Into a Concrete Wall But Was Unhurt in Netherlands
Lando Norris won the Dutch Grand Prix for the second year in a row in Formula 1, while Max Verstappen crashed his car badly on the first lap at his home race. Verstappen went off the track and into a concrete wall but was unhurt. The result is a disappointment for Verstappen, who had recently ended speculation by extending his contract with Red Bull.
Kimi Antonelli finished second and still holds his lead in the drivers' championship. George Russell was ordered by the Mercedes team to let Antonelli pass him after a virtual safety car was deployed. Lewis Hamilton led for a long time but dropped to fourth place, with Russell managing to hold him off on the final sprint to take third.
Norris and McLaren won the race with their strategy. Antonelli led for a time, but McLaren and Norris timed two pit stops well and managed to make up the gap with their tire strategy. Antonelli remains top of the drivers' championship, with a 59-point lead over his teammate Russell. Norris is now 83 points from the top.
