🇮🇹 Italy68 German Scouts From the Black Forest Was Forced to Make an Unscheduled Stop in Italy on Their Way Back From a Summer Camp on Sardinia
The group, consisting of girls and boys mostly aged between eight and 14, was left stranded late in the evening in the port city of Livorno after their ferry crossing from the Mediterranean island to the mainland: the bus that was supposed to take them on to the airport in Milan had not arrived. Port authorities then organized several dozen camp beds around 10:30 p.m., on which the scouts spent the night in the port building. On Sunday at 8:00 a.m., after a delay of several hours, the group continued its journey to the airport with a different bus and finally headed home.
The group consisted of 63 minors and five adult chaperones. The city administration is now demanding that the bus company explain why the firmly booked vehicle had not appeared on Saturday evening. The Italian authorities did not comment on the scouts' exact place of origin.
